A GROUP of Narooma and Dalmeny locals including Peter Dwyer, Jesse McMillan, Helen Dwyer and Suzie Egan last week participated in the motorcycle safety course organised by the Eurobodalla Shire Council and its road safety officer Karen Sydenham.
The course was aimed at learners, who have never ridden or who have very limited skills and experience.
Trainer and former motorcycle paramedic Paul Riley helped the riders with their preparation for the “P's” test but also provided the foundation for skills required which can be practiced and used throughout your riding life on the road.
Participant Suzie Egan said she found the course to be great.
“I learned heaps and feel much more confident on my motorbike,” she said.
“I believe anyone who has never done a course like this should join in the next one as I have had my licence for 33 years and got so much out of it.
“The instructor Paul Riley from Skill Master Motorcycle Services was very good and gave all the participants the attention we required, you felt like you were in a one-on-one course. He never made you feel anything less than confident and best of all I enjoyed the entire day.”
