Narooma police news - alleged outlaw bikies charged

NSW POLICE Strike Force Barree officers have arrested and charged a man and a woman following an on-going investigation into the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs at Bingi on the Far South Coast.

Officers from Strike Force Barree and Strike Force Kook in April conducted a search warrant at a property on Kelly Road at Bingi.

During the search of the property, which is linked to the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG), police allegedly located a clandestine laboratory.

It is also alleged officers located more than 100 litres of chemicals and equipment used in the extraction of pseudoephedrine from cold and flu medication as well as more than six kilograms of pseudoephedrine based tablets.

Two men and a woman were arrested at the scene and were taken to Batemans Bay Police Station for questioning before being released pending further inquiries.

On Friday, June 26, at 10:50am, police arrested a 46-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman at a business on the Princes Highway, Batemans Bay.

The man, who police will allege is a senior member of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang and the woman, were both charged with manufacture a prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, possess precursor intend to use in manufacture/production and supply prohibited drug greater than indictable quantity.

Both were refused bail to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on Saturday and were expected to reappear yesterday.

A 30-year-old Canberra man is expected to be served with a court attendance notice for the offence of being found in/on drug premises and will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on August 10.

DNA evidence arrest

POLICE arrested a 28-year-old Wallaga Lake man at 11am on Saturday, June 27 in relation to a break and enter attempted committed in Nowra back in March.

The man was arrested when DNA evidence was processed and linked him back to the Nowra crime scene.

Drunk for two days

A 38-YEAR-old intoxicated Dalmeny man was asked to leave a Dalmeny supermarket because of his behaviour at 6pm on Saturday, June 27.

The same man the day before was moved on from the car park of a Narooma supermarket again for his alleged drunken behaviour, while police also received reports of man disrupting of man disrupting traffic on the highway.

Domestic violence arrest

A 38-YEAR-old Narooma man was arrested for an alleged assault and breaching an apprehended violence order after police were called to a Narooma address at 11.30pm on Wednesday, June 24.

The victim suffered a cut to the eye.

Bermagui shoplifting arrest

A 21-YEAR-old Bermagui woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a bottle of alcohol in Bermagui at 11.45pm on Saturday, June 27. The theft was captured on closed circuit television allowing police to identify the accused.

Motel cash stolen

SOMEONE entered an unlocked room in a Narooma Motel between 11.45pm and 12.20am on Wednesday, June 24 stealing an amount of cash.

Door kicked in

POLICE are not sure whether the kicking in of the front glass door of a café on Bermagui’s main street on Friday night was an attempted break-in or just vandalism.
