Thief slashed by glass
A THIEF who smashed his way into a pharmacy on the Narooma Flat at 1.30am on Thursday remained on the run from police for two days despite being seriously injured.
Police tracked down a 33-year-old Narooma man who was interviewed and then taken to Moruya hospital for treatment to the cuts to his arm he allegedly sustained on the glass door when breaking in to steal a small amount of medication.
Police plan to charge the man with break, enter and steal.
Car roof thumped
POLICE were called to an argument on McMillan Road at 8.15pm on Thursday where a car roof was dented by someone banging on it and they are calling for any witnesses to call them on 4476 2044 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
Wallets stolen
A NAROOMA resident had their wallet stolen from their unsecured car parked at the Bar Beach parking lot at 8.30am on Tuesday, March 9.
A wallet was also stolen from a car parked on Flower Circuit, Akolele at 10.20pm on Thursday and a white Commodore with P-plates was seen leaving the scene.
Numbers a lifesaver
BERMAGUI police are urging rural and town residents to have easy-to-read numbers signposted on their properties as finding the right address, particularly at night, is an ongoing issue. "The bigger the numbers the better." Police and paramedics wasted valuable time when properties were not numbered adequately and even trimming back bushes helped.
