During Movember, the posse of nine will be cultivating magnificent Mexican-style moustaches to raise awareness and funds for a range of men’s health issues.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are allegedly looking to party in Mo-town, while numerous other A-list celebrities are squabbling about who will be first to be seen with the hirsute hombres.

The team consists of Nigel ‘Niguel’ Jackson, Chris ‘Chopper’ Scroggy, Andrew ‘Macca’ McCoughtrie, Lindsay ‘Pool Cleaner’ Brown, Mark ‘Gringo’ Anderson, Matt ‘Fluffy Lip’ Deveson, Werner ‘Hombre’ Gross, Richard ‘Pommy’ Cunningham and Stan ‘I’d better shave it off before my wedding’ Gorton.

Nigel says: “Having lost a family member to prostate cancer, I thought it was a great cause which gave me an opportunity to show off my legendary mo-growing skills. I’m already getting some wierd looks and people seem to think it’s a serious fashion statement... which is a real worry!”

‘Chopper’ Scroggy said: “It’s great to be a part of this team raising awareness for men’s health issues and having some fun along the way. When we shave the mos off, all the hair will be donated to Nigel’s bald spot...”

Movember is an annual charity event held in November which encourages men to grow a moustache and raise awareness and funds for mens health issues - specifically prostate cancer and depression.

Men lack awareness about the health issues they face and there is an attitude that they have to be tough and are reluctant to see a doctor about an illness or go for regular medical checks.
