Three-car smash

Volunteer rescue crews worked for 40 minutes to cut free the survivors of a three-car collision on the Princes Highway near Tuross Head.

The accident happened in treacherous wet weather conditions at 4.40pm on Saturday, November 29.

The accident is believed to have happened after a car driving north crossed onto the wrong side of the road colliding with another car head on, which then spun around and collided with another vehicle travelling north.

The drivers in the first two cars were conveyed by ambulance to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

Smashing effort

Offenders have caused over $500 worth of damage after smashing the rear windscreen of a car parked outside the Rural Fire Service building on Mort Avenue in Dalmeny. The offence took place at some time around 6.15pm on Saturday, November 29.

Offenders smashed nine hundred dollars worth windows at Narooma High School over the weekend.

Drunk as a skunk

A man so drunk, he could not walk or talk was found by police in Baragoot Street, Bermagui on Sunday, November 30.

The man refused ambulance assistance and was conveyed to the care of an associate staying at a caravan park in Bermagui.

On your bike

Thieves stole two trail bikes and helmets totalling over $1500 from a property on Yabbarra Drive, Dalmeny. The offence took place between 2.30 and 3.20pm on Saturday, November 29.

The two bikes stolen are an orange and black KTM and a blue Yamaha.

The unknown offenders entered a shed where the bikes were secured by padlocks, after finding the keys. It is believed they then drove off on the bikes.

Humpty hits the door

Unknown offenders smashed half a dozen eggs on the door of a Dalmeny residence at 9.15pm on Saturday, November 29.

Driving and drugs

Police discovered a 17-year-old male possessing cannabis and driving along Lakeside Drive, Narooma with a suspended licence at 1.15am on Sunday, November 30.

Overtaken by rain

A driver is lucky to be alive after his car smashed into an embankment after aquaplaning off the road while he was overtaking a truck.

The accident happened in wet weather conditions just two kms north of the Dignams Creek Bridge at 4pm on Friday, November 28.

Green thumb thief

Six plant boxes are missing from holiday units on the Princes Highway, Narooma. The plant boxes were stolen some time between 8.30pm on Wednesday, November 26 and 7.30am Thursday, November 27.

Hit and run

An unknown offender has caused hundreds in damages after smashing into a parked car and leaving the scene.

The accident happened on Field Street at some time around 9.30pm on Thursday, November 27.

Any witnesses or persons with information are urged to contact local police on 4476 2044.

Drunk and driving

A drunk female driver smashed into an illegally parked car along Myuna Street, Dalmeny at 9.40pm on Thursday, November 27.

Police breath tests found the woman to be driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.145.

She was charged with a mid range drink driving offence to face local court.

Hold the phone

A 50-year-old man has scored himself a traffic infringement notice after being caught out driving while using his mobile phone.

Travelling thieves

Thieves smashed their way into a Narooma travel agent between 6pm on Monday, November 24 and 8.30 am Tuesday, November 25.

The office was ransacked and a safe containing $850 in cash was stolen using a Ute that was later found abandoned outside the victim’s house.

Dangerously drunk

Police discovered a 45-year-old female who has never held a licence driving while five times over the legal limit.

The woman was stopped for a random breath test on Wallaga Lake Road at 12.40am on Thursday, November 27.

Hoon control

A 17-year-old male stopped by police for dangerously turning a corner has blamed clutch problems for his erratic driving.

Police observed the young driver turning into McMillan Drive, Narooma in a dangerous manner. The young man has been issued with a traffic infringement notice.

Cultural threat

A visiting tourist filmed a person being aggressively threatened by a man wielding a boomerang.

The incident was recorded at Kianga Headland at 3.50pm on Tuesday, November 25.
