Members of the Narooma Returned and Services League (RSL) branch replaced the two flag poles at the war memorial yesterday. RSL members decided the poles down at the bowling club would be good replacements for the old poles at the war memorial.
The transplanted poles are two metres taller than the old ones and in much better shape. Pictured raising the pole in the style of the legendary Iwo Jima war photograph are Jon King, Gary Breust, Paul Naylor and Ted Polzyhajlo.
