IT was great to see the Roads and Traffic Authority crew working on the section highway just past the Tree Motel after it was featured in the paper last week.
Let’s hope we can get similar action from Caltex on the old Ampol site that certainly is an eyesore and is covered on Page 3 of today’s paper.
The Bermagui Seaside Fair as always was a great weekend out for everyone who went along and it certainly has come a long way from the old days when it was nicknamed the “Suicide Fair” and there was lots of drunken trouble.
It was great to see residents from all backgrounds embracing the festivities and getting along.
Finally, it was too late to get on the pages but the Narooma Historical Society has organised a “flotilla” tour on Sunday to check out heritage sites around Wagonga Inlet.
To tag along please ring Laurelle Pacey on 4476 1582 and she is suggesting one lot leave mid morning, with the later group to meet up with the first group at a prearranged time and place.
Bring your own food and thermos!
I would suggest the flotilla take a good look at Lewis Island from the water as this is latest hotbed of contention in town with residents rallying to take ownership of this fast disappearing sand island.
