THERE is a lot to be thankful for living in this wonderful part of the world and those getting out on the shared pathway on Sunday enjoyed some fantastic scenery, tsunami or no tsunami!

Well done to all the organisers, participants and also the Eurobodalla Shire Council for fixing the path in time for the great event.

Also good on the council for developing a plan to repair the Tilba Punkally Road. We all know how rumours spread in our little towns and the one going around Tilba was that it would be cut off for 18 months…

But the truth is that council is committed to the temporary fix and to accessing State funds for the more permanent solution.

We all would have been shocked to hear the headlines that one of our sporting heroes is in trouble with the law.

But let’s keep in mind that these are only charges and we are all innocent until proven guilty.

It is not inconceivable that this particular player may have been caught up in something beyond his control.

And it is only because of the intense scrutiny on the “bad boys” of league that attention has become focussed on him so intensely.

Let’s all reserve judgement until all the facts are out…
