“Swimming in Art” mural launch at pool open day

AN open day at the Narooma pool this Saturday has been seized as an opportunity to officially launch the new “Swimming in Art” mural.

The mural recently painted the outside wall facing Bluewater Drive was a collaboration of three home-grown artists, Tim Phibs, Cheryl Davison and Don Atkins, and local students from Bodalla, Narooma, Bermagui, Central Tilba and Cobargo public schools, Narooma High School Year 11 art class, Year 10 work experience students, Sista Speak students, and students involved in the Partnerships in Industry and Education (PIE) program.

The launch of the mural has been timed with the pool open day and pool operators the YMCA are throwing the doors open with free entry all day.

There will be a giant inflatable from 10am to 11.30am, Santa Claus from 11.15am to 11.30am, a giant maze jumping castle from 12pm to 1.30pm and Thought Sport Circus Workshops and Playspace from 12pm to 2pm.

The official launch of the mural will be at 11.30am.
