THIS week sees the introduction of a new range of fitness classes at Narooma Indoor Swimming Centre, with the YMCA introducing a series of land based exercises classes. Neil Hummerston YMCA Manager said the programs will increase patronage to the centre, with income generated for council by the paying of room hire fees and profits from the classes to be returned to council via helping offset the centre’s running costs.
The classes will be conducted by well-known local fitness professional Nancy Casu who has a long association with the area. Nancy has recently been the driving force behind the YMCA run Diabetes Foundation Beat-It program in the Narooma region.
Mr Hummerston said, “The YMCA is really pleased to be able to expand our involvement in the community and further utilize Nancy’s skills. It is hoped in time that the range of classes will be expanded subjected to demand and additional instructors utilized to provide added variety.”
People interested in classes are offered a free initial class to see if it suits their needs. Further information is available by contacting Narooma Indoor Swimming Centre on 4476 2398 or Nancy direct on 0412 405 076.
