LAST Thursday evening close to 50 persons attended the Australian Labor Party (ALP) fundraiser for the new Narooma Police and Citizens Youth Club (PCYC).
The occasion was the premiere night of the movie Quartet at the Narooma Kinema and the event raised $515.
Among those attending was Narooma ALP member John Mclean and his son Malcolm McLean.
Malcolm just happened to be was the director of photography for the movie and spoke afterwards in relation to the ins and outs of movie making, and in particular Dustin Hoffman’s movements in his premier role as director.
Thank you from the ALP to all who volunteered and attended.
The NSW Police force continues to work with the Eurobodalla Shire to open the PCYC facility in the Narooma Sports and Leisure Centre, which will include supervised sports and activities such as basketball and boxing.
It was hoped the PCYC would open this year to serve bored youth from Bodalla to Bega.
