Getting nasty on Facebook
A LOCAL 20-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday and charged in relation to sending offensive and harassing messages over Facebook.
The victims were one man and two women who are locals.
The offender will appear in court and faces a maximum penalty of three years in jail.
DVD player recovered
A PORTABLE DVD player was found in Fishermen’s Crescent, Narooma. Police suspect it may have been stolen from a vehicle in Narooma. The owner can contact Narooma Police.
Swiss tourist drives on wrong side
A SWISS tourist forgot which side of the road Australians drive on and caused an accident on Friday. The tourist was travelling north along the Princes Highway on the wrong side of the road about 1km south of the Wallaga Lake turnoff. A collision occurred when a vehicle came from the other direction on the correct side of the road.
The 65-year-old tourist driver was not hurt but his passenger sustained minor injuries. One lane was blocked until police arrived. Only one of the vehicles was towed from the scene.
Wedding guests bombard Bermi
THREE busloads of people arrived at a Bermagui Hotel at 11.40pm on Australia Day only to find the pub had just closed.
The 40-odd people had been at a wedding and were being loud with varying levels of intoxication. Police in the area moved them on with the help of hotel security.
