Register now for Clean Up Australia Day

REGISTRATIONS from volunteers are now open for Clean Up Australia Day 2013 which is to be held this year on Sunday, March 3.

Mayor Lindsay Brown is encouraging everyone in the Eurobodalla Shire to do their bit towards protecting their local environment by participating in the event.

“Think of the places that are important to you – your local walking tracks, cycle ways, parks and beaches – and pull together a team to join in,” said Cr Brown.

“All local residents are encouraged to lend a hand to clean up the rubbish on our streets, parks, bushland and waterways that has the potential to kill our native wildlife.”

The Mayor says this year Eurobodalla Shire Council is after more volunteers to give those who turn up every year a helping hand

Council is looking for people who would like to volunteer on an existing Clean Up site and also for Site Coordinators who are willing to head a small team of volunteers for an hour or two on the day.
