IT is easy to let those New Year’s resolutions slip as you get caught up returning to work and organising the kids for school – which is why Live Life Eurobodalla is here to help!
If you’ve promised yourself to get fit and healthy this year, it’s easy with most of the activities in the 2013 Live Life calendar of events being offered for free or being partially subsidised, says the mayor of Eurobodalla Shire Council, Cr Lindsay Brown.
“This means you can try them out at little or no cost,” Cr Brown said. “Term one activities this year include healthy cooking classes, exercise programs, walking groups, yoga, Pilates and gardening workshops.
“Then there’s the ‘Back in the Pool’ and ‘Back on your Bike’ activities that were so popular last year and are being offered again.”
For people with a bit more time on their hands, you can choose to become trainers of some of the Live Life activities.
“Live Life Eurobodalla is after volunteers to participate in free training so they can become instructors of its healthy Food Cents, Austswim and Austcycle and Beat It programs or help out as community kitchen facilitators. This way, you can get fit and also earn a qualification,” Cr Brown said.
