MEMBER for Bega Andrew Constance has announced $266,000 from the NSW Government to the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley Shire Councils to progress local boating facilities this financial year.

“This announcement follows the allocation of $4.36 million in grants by the NSW Government for more than 60 projects across the State under the 2012-2013 Better Boating Program (BBP),” Mr Constance said,
“The BBP is a grants program aimed at supporting local councils, boating clubs and other agencies to make recreational boating facilities safer, more accessible and able to cater for increased demand.
“The Bega Valley Shire Council has been granted $50,000 toward a Shire wide general boat ramp upgrade at 10 boat ramps within the Bega Valley.
"The Eurobodalla Shire Council has received $100,000 toward the replacement of the existing jetty at Apex Park Narooma, $68,000 towards work on the Hanging Rock Boat Ramp for replacement of the existing fixed timber jetty with a new articulated pontoon,” Mr Constance said.
