Service clubs to the rescue

BERMAGUI Seaside Fair Committee wish to sincerely thank Bega Rotary Club and Narooma Lions Club for coming to their rescue and helping out with the provision of barbecue trailers to be used at the 16th award winning Seaside Fair on Saturday, March 9 this year.

The pavilion on Dickinson Oval at Bermagui was destroyed some months ago leaving the local community without a building to work from on regular sports days, dog shows and the annual Seaside Fair, which is held on the second Saturday every March.

The old pavilion was the central place from which the provision of barbecue and drinks were sold throughout the day of the Fair, and the barbecue is also the main fundraiser for the Seaside Committee as entry to the fun filled family day out is free.

Here is the plan!

Wallaga Lake/Bermagui Men's Shed is cooking up a storm of bacon and eggs for the “Poets Breakfast” on the Narooma Lions Club barbecue trailer in front of “Essential Energy” stage starting at 8am.

Bega Rotarians are bringing their extra-large barbecue trailer to Bermagui along with a few willing members to assist with the cooking, which will start at 10am and continue throughout the day until closing around 5pm.

Members of both groups and other volunteers hold food handling certificates, and the Seaside Fair Committee guarantees that the usual standard of inexpensive and high quality food will be provided to all who wish to enjoy a free family fun day out at beautiful Bermagui.

So leave the cares at home, bring the kids and come to Bermi's big day out and shout yourself a steak sandwich or sizzling sausage as you enjoy the many highlights of the Fair.
