NINETEEN happy folk including the bridal couple travelled to Jinan, China to celebrate the wedding of John and Larry Brown's son, also named John to Bai Yang (Aspen) on November 11, 2012.
The wedding had many traditional customs included and almost all the guests, Chinese included, had never been to a traditional Chinese wedding.
Tea ceremonies, a lot of bowing, fireworks, special noodles prepared by Aspen's mother Dr Hui Sheng, many speeches, gold fish, sedan chair, much singing and playing of instruments plus much more kept everyone's attention.
Proud mother Larry said the wedding was a lot of fun and a very happy, joyous occasion.
Special translators were present so we could all be informed about everything.
John and Larry's son Anthony and his wife Amy are pictured in the front row.
Amy was 30 weeks pregnant at the time of the photo and now Anthony and Amy have a son, Jeremiah Fox Brown, born on January 8 in Lismore.
John and Larry's eldest son Stuart is in the back row, second from right, but Stuart's wife Danielle and son Nicholas did not travel to China. Their second child is due on March 1.
Good friends of the Browns, John Kellett and Bronwyn Sams, are also there (back right).
John Kellett has been featured in the Narooma News “Have News will Travel” feature with John twice already – once at the terracotta warriors and also on the public toilets at Ephesus.
Catherine Nunan (Cobcroft) who grew up in Narooma also travelled from Hong Kong to join in the celebrations.
After three family weddings in less than 12 months the Browns are all wedded out!
