Eurobodalla Shire Council is calling for nominations for teams for the Narooma Shoot the Hoop 3 on 3 basketball team event which is to be held at the Narooma Leisure Centre on Sunday 24 February from 9am.
Nominations to form a team close this Friday 14 February at 4.30pm so jump on council’s website, www.esc.nsw.gov.au now and download your entry form.
The event will feature some great competition and some equally great prizes sponsored by the Nyarmin Aboriginal Trust. A free bus service will make sure participants and supporters from Bermagui to Dalmeny are able to arrive in time for the start of the day and get home again.
To allow people of all ages to have some fun, council has set three age brackets (Under 12’s, 12 to 15 years, and 16 + Open) for the competition.
“I encourage everyone to get into the team spirit and dress in team colours and crazy outfits to add some colour to the day,” said Eurobodalla Shire Mayor, Cr Lindsay Brown.
Food and drink will be available thanks to the Narooma High School P&C Association and the sponsors will make sure participants receive sustenance on the day so their energy levels are at a peak.
Interested? Download your Narooma Shoot the Hoop 3 on 3 individual entry/waiver forms, poster, bus timetable, and rules from Eurobodalla Shire Council’s website and make sure they are in by close of business this Friday 15 February 2013.
The official draw will then be done in readiness for a great day. All participants must wear suitable footwear (no black soles or spikes) and under-18 year olds must have a parent or guardian sign their entry forms.
See you on Sunday 24 February at the Narooma Leisure Centre, Bluewater Drive at 9 am!
