Narooma Streetscaping information sessions

OVER the next week, Eurobodalla Shire Council is holding a series of information sessions on phase one of the Narooma Streetscaping Project. The sessions will discuss the nature of the civil works and how council will handle some of the challenges in order to reduce their impact on businesses and the community.

The works, to begin in March, will involve the construction of new underground services and a new roundabout at the Princes Highway, McMillan Road and Bluewater Drive intersection by the end of 2013. A new access to the Narooma Sporting and Services Club will also be built during phase one.

Mayor of Eurobodalla Shire and Chair of the Narooma Streetscape Sunset Advisory Committee, Cr Lindsay Brown, is encouraging the community to attend an information session and says this is a very exciting time for Narooma.

“The committee is looking forward to discussing and listening to your views on this important project for Narooma so please try to come along to one of the sessions,” Cr Brown said.
