HERO: Cobargo’s Fiona O'Meara met one of her heroes, 2012 Olympic gold medallist Alicia Coutts, at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre in 2012. Coutts will make a special appearance at the Cobargo pool on Saturday, March 2.
AUSTRALIAN swimmer of the year and 2012 Olympic gold medallist Alicia Coutts will make a special appearance at the Cobargo swimming pool at 2pm on Saturday.
She will be a special guest at the Cobargo Amateur Swimming Club’s annual championships.
Everyone is welcome to head along and meet Alicia, along with watching her swim with the children in some races.
The swimming club is running raffles and a barbecue on the day. Normal pool entry fees apply, so join the club for a fun afternoon and a chance to rub shoulders with one of Australia's best swimmers.
