Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalking news

ON Thursday, March 7 the Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers explored along the beaches and headlands of Bermagui, using the Bermagui lagoon tracks through the middle and returning around the western edge.

We then explored the sculptures on Horseshoe Bay beach and Endeavour Point Headland. On the headland, we had lunch and watched the dolphins swim around the beach and out to sea.

After lunch, we explored the indoor exhibition of smaller sculptures in the Bermagui Community Centre and then across the road we enjoyed the delights of the Gelati Clinic.

A short walk and we arrived at the cars and thanked Pat Reid and Heather Ferguson for the delightful 8km walk.

Saturday’s walk in the Bodalla State Forest led by Jan Thomas and Beris Jenkins shows us the upper reaches of Whittakers creek and Dingo Hole with 10km of beautiful bush with views from the ridges and the challenge of crossing flowing streams and creeks.

We enjoyed lunch at the Dingo Hole before making our way to old Whittakers Creek Road and our cars where our walk leaders we thanked for showing us the lovely bush area.
