Hydro bust

TACTICAL Action Group officers from the Far South Coast Local Area Command assisted by local officers attended a Dalmeny address at 9.50am last Tuesday to execute a search warrant.

They allegedly located a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis growing operation including transformers, ventilation and fans.

There were 21 plants mostly secreted in a shed had an estimated street value of $63,000.

A 51-year-old Dalmeny man is facing charges including possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug and cultivating a prohibited drug and will appear in Narooma local court next month.

Campground thefts

POLICE are urging campers to secure bikes and vehicles after ongoing thefts from caravan parks in Narooma.

Bikes are regularly being taken late at night from campgrounds on the Narooma Flat, possibly by drunken passers-through, while a car at a park near the town’s main beach was broken into overnight on Thursday with items inside stolen.

Mailbox mayhem

SEVERAL letterboxes from residences on Eucalyptus Drive and Maculata Circuit in Dalmeny were yanked out overnight on Friday and found dumped in the nearby duck pond.
