ST Pat’s Day is the time for a bit of fun, so a small group gathered at the Narooma CWA hall to see cultural officer and vice-president Joanne King shaved to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Of course there was an afternoon tea to be enjoyed while the hair departed from Jo’s head.
So far $269.20 has been raised by Jo, and this may not be a huge sum, but it all helps those with leukaemia or associated cancers.
Jo knows well one lovely lady who suffers from an age-related form, so this helped her to decide to shave.
If you would like the sum raised to be more you can go online and sponsor Joanne at http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/JoKing.
Then again if you see her shiny head down the street, she is willing to take your donation and pass it on.
Jo would like to thank the Narooma CWA for allowing her the use of their hall, barber extraordinaire Carolyn Wisbey for her skill, and her supporters who assisted in supplying an enjoyable afternoon tea.
