Police patrolled all the polling booths in the area on Election Day. Police report that voters conducted themselves reasonably and wish to thank the community for their good behaviour.
School smash up
BETWEEN 6pm on Monday, September 2 and 9am the following day unknown persons have entered the grounds of Narooma High School. The offenders smashed the two front schoolroom windows.
The damage is estimated to cost around $1000.
UNKNOWN persons have snapped a palm tree that was growing in the front garden of a home of an 84-year-old man in Ernest Street, Dalmeny.
The offence occurred at some stage in the 24 hours following 7am on September 28.
Trailer plate theft
A NUMBER plate was stolen from a boat trailer stored locally between April 17 and September 3.
The registration of the missing plate is K28966.
UNKNOWN persons entered a residence in Thompson Parade, Dalmeny between 11.30am and 5pm on Thursday, September 5, trashed the place and caused damage.
Police are investigating the possibility that these offences may be linked to another matter involving the victim and local persons known to police.
ON Friday night police were conducting mobile RBT patrols in the Narooma area when they stopped a Nissan sedan being driven by a local 26-year-old woman on the Princes Highway.
A licence check revealed the driver had special conditions on her licence limiting her to one passenger however there were three people in the vehicle.
Police had previously warned the driver for this offence so this time she was issued with a $506 fine and seven demerit points.
POLICE were handed a Samsung mobile phone and a pair of shoes by a kind person on Sunday morning after the items were found at the Narooma Kinema.
Police were able to locate the owner and return the property to the Dalmeny resident.
A bag of Dynamic Lifter was stolen from the residence of a 77-year-old woman at a caravan park in Bermagui between 3pm on Thursday and 9am on Saturday.
