CHRIS Westoll coach of the Eurobodalla under 10s soccer representative side, said the players had a great time at Monaro Panthers Stadium in Queanbeyan over the weekend.
“Our kids made it through to the final, again twice in a year which is no mean feat against such good opposition.
“To get there we played three games on the Saturday drawing with Monaro who are unbeaten this year and have a huge pool of players to choose from.
“We meet them in Cowra, in the final as well just losing 3-2 a few months ago.
“Then we played the semi on Sunday, we won that one 1 to 0, they played their best game all year they were fantastic every player gave 100 per cent.
“Then came Monaro again, we played in the old Canberra stadium, these guys are really organised and skilful, but our guys matched them in all departments, but we just lost 2 to 1.
“I am so proud of these guys I have a pool of 80 kids to choose from in Eurobodalla and to say they played well was an understatement.
“We look forward to next year guys - maybe we can beat them next year,” he said.
