TWENTY-five bushwalkers have spent last week staying in Huskisson and walking through the Booderee and Jervis Bay National Parks. The many highlights where Kitty’s Point, Whiting Beach, Steamers Beach, Hyams Beach, Governor Head, Murrays Beach and Hole in the Wall, with many walkers enjoying Booderee Botanic Gardens, Cape Street George Lighthouse and Green Patch. Most bushwalks where 10km with the longest being 15km. Thanks are to Heather Ferguson for organising the accommodation, Jan Thomas for finding all the walks and Monique Deprez for organising the final night’s meal and transport.
While the bushwalkers were in Jervis Bay Gloria Yeaman's husband died in his sleep. Gloria is a founding member of the Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers and she helped set up the simple guidelines which have enabled the club to grow and ensure the bushwalks are enjoyable.
