SUNDAY marked the return to the water for the Surf Sistas.
The October comp didn't produce great conditions, but everyone was keen to get in and get wet after a bit of a hiatus.
The Masters hit the waves first. The swell was barely there, but a few little waves proved a challenge and the first heat was a tussle to get as many as possible. These ladies have been getting in as much time in the water as possible and it showed with a great improvement by all.
Heat 1 results: First Belinda, second Sue, third Lin, fourth Jane, fifth Cat.
Heat 2 results: First Nicky, second Angie, third Steph, fourth Dianne.
The surf conditions improved slightly before the juniors hit the water, with the juniors showing the masters how it's done. The first heat was a display of some great moves by the girls who are really looking like they love it out there.
Heat 1 results: 12 years first Jemma, second Paris. 13 years first Marissa, second Georgia.
15 years first Ally. Next was the juniors. Just as the girls started, the whales made an appearance.
Heat 2 results: First Baillee, second Anna, Equal third Lani and Stephi, fourth Abby.
We welcomed two new members this week: Jackie Stallard and Kara John.
