THE knitters of Narooma and Dalmeny came out in force for a “Knit In” creating as many as 10 warming woollen wraps for the world’s less fortunate.
Robyn Gourley organised the gathering at the Dalmeny Bowling Club on Friday and it was one of many held around Australia thanks to the support of ABC radio stations and Rotary clubs.
Just short of 300 squares of wool knitted by the dozen women attending, as well as others, were sown together into the wraps that every year are sent to the needy around the world.
