MEMBER for Bega, Andrew Constance last week announced 13 projects would receive a share of $300,000 in Community Building Partnership Grants across the Bega Electorate.

This includes $100,000 Narooma District Woodcrafters Association for purchase of land for provision of a woodcraft workshop.
The idea being the Woodies purchase part of the old school at Bodalla and the headmaster’s house and land will be sold separately by the government.
At Bermagui, $40,000 goes to Bega Valley Shire Council for the reconstruction of the clubhouse at Dickinson Oval Bermagui that was destroyed by fire.
There is $15,000 for the upgrade of the Bodalla Playgroup outdoor play area, also vandalised recently, and finally $10,000 to the Quaama Men’s Shed for conversion of a fire shed into a men’s shed.
The Bermagui/Wallaga Lake Men’s Shed also gets $10,000 for extensions.
“Building and restoring local infrastructure as well as supporting local construction jobs and businesses are a welcome boost in enhancing local investment in our local communities,” Mr Constance said.
