Now locals can return the favour by voting for River Cottage Australia and host Paul West in both the 2014 TV WEEK Logie Awards and 12th annual ASTRA Awards.
Filming on the second series of River Cottage Australia is well underway with the farm at Central Tilba a hive of activity.
And while not giving away too many secrets, Paul has been out and about checking out local organic and sustainable farms and markets.
He also headed out fishing recently but not with a rod and reel – you’ll just have to wait to find out more when the next eight episodes air later this year on the LifeStyle Channel on Foxtel.
The show is based on the hugely popular British version River Cottage with the founder of the series that now become an worldwide institution Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall staying in touch and offering regular advice to his Paul, his Australian counterpart.
The first series that aired last year proved a big winner with excellent ratings resulting in the LifeStyle Channel taking the unusual step of approving not only a second series but also a third.
So it’s not surprising for the show and its charismatic host Paul West, who came from relative obscurity after winning a talent search that looked for a new, fresh face, is up for the awards.
The TV WEEK Logie Awards are the Australian television industry awards and have been presented each year since 1959.
Voting is done online at www.tvweeklogieawards.com.au

The show is also in the running for two awards at the 12th annual ASTRA Awards.
The ASTRA Awards recognise the wealth of talent that drives the Australian subscription TV industry and highlight the creativity, commitment and investment in production and broadcasting
