Mentors came together on Thursday and Friday at Little Yuin Preschool to attend mentor/leadership training and the mentees joined the group Friday afternoon to meet their mentor.
This project is an opportunity for all services; non-government organisations and government agencies, to come together to share knowledge and wisdom. Participating organisations include Katungul, Merrimans Local Aboriginal Lands Council, NSW Police, Office of Indigenous Affairs, NSW Aboriginal Affairs, Australian Red Cross, Bega Women’s Resource Centre, Moruya Women’s and Children’s Service, Little Yuin Preschool and many more.
The project is a NSW Keep Them Safe Sector Support and Leadership Project aimed at increasing regional leadership capacity, inter-agency collaboration, external support, and the sharing of experience and knowledge amongst child, youth and family Services in the Eurobodalla and Bega.
This project provides participants with an opportunity as a mentor to share knowledge and provide professional guidance and direction to sector workers keen to expand their experience and skills.
As a mentee this opportunity allows for further professional growth and the establishment of networks and relationships that can enhance interagency collaboration.
