It’s been a particularly electrical week with a thunderstorms rolling over the Narooma district on several evenings.
The rainfall has also been most welcome with Narooma recording 18.1mm so far this month.
Friday night’s storm saw the power flicker at Bermagui and go out at Coolagolite as the almost constant lightning lit up the night sky.
A strike on the Narooma Golf Course on the afternoon of February 26 created a remarkable electrical burn pattern right there on the second green.
And on Friday night the storm created another light show over the course, this time caught on camera.
John Charlton, graphic artist at the Border Mail newspaper in Albury, was staying in Pilot Street behind the Narooma Golf Course first green during Friday night's spectacular lightning storm. He had read our story about lighting hitting the second green at the golf course last week, and thought he better get the camera out just in case!
Earlier that day he had been down to Australia Rock with his family to get some shots so his camera and tripod were handy for when the lightning show started.
He captured some great shots include cloud-to-cloud over Ballingalla Street and the Narooma Golf Club.
Designer and craftsman Toby Whitelaw meanwhile also got some stunning shots of lightning over the ocean this time during the wee hours of Sunday morning at Moruya Heads.
We spotted his photos on his Instagram account and publishing would not do them justice, so you can see them at www.naroomanewsonline.com.au as well as the other spectacular shot of lightning over the Narooma Golf Course looking down Ballingalla Street.
