WELL here we go for another election and isn’t the number of candidates in the Eurobodalla amazing!
From now on, press releases from candidates will be judged purely on newsworthiness and that the paper will strive as always to be balanced and fair in all coverage. We are here to serve the readership, not the candidates.
The letters page will not be used as free advertising space for the candidates, and that close party supporters and branch members should declare any allegiances when submitting letters for publication.
As always, letters are published at the discretion of the editor and subject to editing for reasons of length and legality.
We wish all the candidates the best of luck and hope the voters don’t overload when trying to make head or tail of all the candidates.
The Narooma News hopes to join The Bay Post in bringing a question and answer feature on the candidates where the questions to the mayoral candidates will be “What will be the first issue you will focus on if elected” and “How will make you that happen…”; while we will be asking the other candidates :
- What is the Number One issue facing the Eurobodalla?
- What are three practical changes will you make if elected?
- What skills will you bring to council?
