It is disappointing for those players who wished to play rugby union, especially given the strong interest at the start of the year. However, a loss of potential players in recent weeks owing to personal, family and financial reasons meant that Whales could not muster a full squad.
The club would like to thank the generous Narooma community for their support, especially the sponsors and volunteers.
A number of people have already stated that they are keen to try and to get things going again next year so there will be call for interested parties later in the year.
