“We have been running since November with a community meal each Wednesday and we average around 30 to 35 meals each week,” chairman of the board David Oliphant said.
“We are now consolidating how we operate and recognize we need more cooks and assistant cooks. We are fortunate in having two experienced people in Gerd Tiedt and Danuta Graham running the kitchen.
Gerd has also taught cooking and is willing and able to teach and encourage anyone interested in being an assistant cook or even a cook.”
Monty’s Place operates from 12noon to 1.30pm every Wednesday in the Uniting Church hall behind the Uniting Church next to the Water Tower on the Princes Highway.
