Narooma man airlifted after stairs fall: PHOTOS

A 44-year-old local Narooma man was airlifted to The Canberra Hospital by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare rescue helicopter on Friday after he fell down a large flight of stairs.

The Narooma RFS brigade, Ambulance paramedics and police responded to the residence on Woodbury Road off Riverview Drive, Narooma at about 11.47am.

The man who already had a broken leg allegedly fell down a flight of 20 or 30 steps sustaining a back injury.

He was in severe pain while being stabilised for transport to TCH on the Snowy Hydro SouthCare rescue helicopter that landed at the VRA/Marine Rescue landing pad.
