The Jets, who have taken some time to get into this competition, have now moved into fourth spot on the competition table and judging by their current rich vein of form are set to shake up the competition table in the coming weeks.
Jamberoo, with a staggering run of injuries going into the game, lost front-rower Adam Vanzanten in the opening minutes while holding a 4-nil lead and the Jets then went on a scoring spree, racing in six tries, including five to their speedy backline, to lead 30-4 at half-time.
After Robbie Noble’s early Superoo try, Isaac Mumberson, Nathan Falzon and the three Brandon brothers all added tries, with back-rower Ryan James also crossing.
The Jets continued their dominance after the break when prop Zac Kershaw crashed over out wide – the first of his four second half tries - before the Superoos hit back with a second try to Noble and one to captain Matt Coelho in quick succession, however the Jets steadied and finished with a flurry, thanks mainly to Kershaw, who proved unstoppable.
The Jamberoo pain was made worse when Coelho was ordered off by referee Paul Lee seven minutes before fulltime for descent.
The Superoos now hope that next week’s bye will allow them to regroup and get players back as they face the uphill battle of qualifying for the semi-finals.
Keshaw, Steve Brandon, Geoff Johnson, Ryan James and Nathan Deaves were among the Jets best, while Gavin Jarrett, Ben Jones and Jono Dallas tried hard all day for the home side.
