We’re not exactly sure what is going on with this biodiversity business at council as it relates to Broulee but it seems to be getting councillors hot under the collar and no doubt has important ramifications for development and protection of the environment in our local area too.

We will have to keep on top of this one and rely on our council reporter who has been covering the complex issue as it evolved over the past week.
The matter is still evolving and who knows where it is headed.
On a more simple matter, the Bermagui Marine Rescue has come a long way since it was operating in the small upstairs room at the Jubb family’s boat shop and slipway.
It now has a shiny new Steber 38 rescue vessel and a state of the art radio room in the beautiful Bermagui Fisherman’s Wharf building - well done to everyone involved and the unit should now benefit from new members attracted by these new resources.
