AT 7.30pm on July 9, an elderly man was stopped for a random breath test on Sherringham Lane, Cobargo. He had a positive result and was taken to the station for breath analysis. The test found him under the limit and he was released.
Mower and property stolen
REPORTED on Thursday, July 10, was the theft of a large amount of property from a storage trailer at the Shearwater Units, Narooma. The theft was thought to have happened between June 27-29. A ride-on mower was also stolen.
Mountain bikes stolen
ON the night of Friday, July 11, four mountain bikes, their chains and padlocks were all stolen from a local holiday park.
Fail to quit
ON Friday night a local male was issued with an infringement notice for ‘fail to quit’ from licensed premises in Narooma.
Pump set alight
ON July 13 malicious damage was caused to a fuel-powered water pump at the rear of a Narooma shopping centre, when it was set alight. As well as the pump being damaged, some of the grassland was burnt. There are no suspects at this stage.
Generator and cash stolen
BETWEEN July 12 and 14, the a recycling centre in Cobargo was broken into and a brown cash tin containing $390 and Honda Sinewave generator worth $700 were stolen. Entry was gained by cutting a hole through a chain-link fence and breaking a chain that secured a door.
Memorial plaque removed
BETWEEN July 13 and 15, a memorial plaque was removed from the park bench at the northern end of Kianga Beach.
