Seas of up to five metres are expected for nearly the entire coast, plus swells of three to four metres, with the worst conditions likely to be in southern areas.
Westerly winds will turn south westerly on Friday, up to 40 knots.
These conditions are likely to be risky for rock fishing and boating.
