“It was the busiest day we have had so far,” organiser the Reverend David Oliphant said.
“Sixty five meals were served and the average has been around 35 to 45,” he said.
There were about 10 volunteers serving the two course meal where guests had a choice of turkey, ham, chicken schnitzels with baked vegetables or salad.
Dessert was a choice of Christmas pudding, custard, baked custard and rhubarb, rum and raisin ice-cream and apple and cinnamon muffins.
In line with the theme, Santa Claus paid a visit, much to the delight of diners.
Monty’s Place is a community service modelled on the successful Ricky’s Place in Bega where they serve a lunch time meal once a week on Wednesday’s.
Monty’s place is run by a number of churches and community organisations under the auspices of UnitingCare.
"Our hope and prayer is that Monty's will become more and more an established part of the Narooma community, offering generosity, goodwill and friendship, as well as good, healthy food, with no strings attached," Reverend Oliphant said.
