THE Narooma Post Office was broken into when doors were forced open at 2.50am Friday with the burglars ransacking the building.
Crime scene investigators collected evidence and investigations into what was stolen continue.
Trolleys stolen
TWO trolleys were reported stolen from a restaurant on the Narooma Flat last week one of which was located at the break-in at the Narooma Post Office on Friday morning.
Tip break-in
THE Brou landfill facility office was broken into at 3.15am Friday with the thieves cutting the outer fence and forcing open the front door.
The building was ransacked and a till drawer was removed but dumped outside when they realised it was empty. Crime scene investigators collected evidence.
Street accident
AN 80-year-old woman was taken to Moruya Hospital with serious injuries after falling while walking with the assistance of her walking frame at 12.20pm Thursday.
Rock throwing
POLICE warn that throwing rocks at vehicles is extremely dangerous and a serious crime after a number of reports of such activity on the Princes Highway near Narooma High School by youths last week.
Shoplifting offence
POLICE investigated the alleged theft of a portable hard drive from the Narooma Post Office last week and a 33-year-old man was charged with stealing.
Grass fire
A SMALL grass fire broke out near Narooma High School at 11am Friday but was quickly extinguished. Investigations into the cause continue.
Driving offence
A MALE driver from Tilba Tilba was issued with a ticket for failing to keep left after police travelling behind his utility on the Cobargo Bermagui Road at 4pm Wednesday noticed him drift between lanes.
Cannabis notice
POLICE issued a court notice to an 18-year-old man at the boat ramp area on Attunga Street, Dalmeny for cannabis possession at 3.30pm Friday.
A small amount of cannabis was also found in a Narooma motel last week.
Plates stolen
THE front and rear licence plates of a car parked on Tilba Street, Narooma were stolen between 5.30am and 7.30pm Saturday.
