The host of the show being shot at Tilba, Paul West has become a regular swimmer and this time brought his film crew with him as filming has begun on the third series.
We can’t give away too much of the plot as there is confidentiality agreements involved but let’s just say the film crew and swimmers had a great time in the perfect sunny conditions with the water temperature down to 14.5 degrees.
Unfortunately the tides and seas conspired against another bar crossing swim, so it was just the standard swim across Bar Beach to the shark net and back.
Among Paul and the 23 other swimmers was the director of the television show who also tested the waters last week, now that’s dedication to the job.
Not being able to resist the limelight, a couple of the Bermagui Blue Ball winter swimmers also made the trip up for the swim on Sunday.
The quorum of Blue Balls sweetened up the morning by supplying 60 blue coloured rum balls, which were enjoyed by everyone after the swim.
As promised they were on their best behaviour.
“While on the return swim I detected an extra drag on the blue balls. I discovered that the kids on the boogie board were giggling delightedly as they had hitched a lift."
