For their first season in competition football, the mighty U10s have secured a spot in the preliminary finals in Tathra on Saturday, August 30. They played a great game, winning 20-12. Try scorers where Jerremiah Mason, Jake Mikolic, Shaquill Colburn and Tyrese Thomas. Goals to Jerremiah Mason and Jake Mikolic.
Well done boys and good luck in Tathra.
The U14s game was definitely the game of the day. There was a lot of testosterone flying around on the field, which made for some silly behaviour by some of the boys, but also some good hard footy. They were up against a fiery Moruya side, with two of their boys being sent off in the first half, along with one of the Narooma boys. The Narooma boys dug their heels in and played some good footy. With a few things not going their way, and a strong Moruya side, they lost 32-8.
Try scorers were Blake Zideluns and Clyde Parsons.
Better luck next year boys.
With most of these boys playing their final season for the juniors before making their way to the senior club, they were keen to try and go through to the grand-final.
They weren't off to a good start with Eden not knowing about the time change, to the U16s. The Narooma boys were warmed up and ready to run on at 1.15pm, only to be told that the Eden side had not turned up yet.
When the Eden side finally took to the field, they proved to be way too strong for the boys. The boys gave it their all, and can be proud of the season they had. Thank you to all the boys and good luck to those boys leaving our junior club.
We must wish the U12s and Girls League Tag, the best of luck as they head to Eden this coming weekend to play in the major semi-finals.
Just a reminder that the presentation is on Saturday, September 20.
Time to be advised. We hope to see everyone there.
