The best players were Thomas Hodge (as one supporter calls him the wrecking ball), Rory Spurgeon in one of his best games for the year, Chenoa Lyons and Jackson Taylor who kicked four goals.
Jakeb Booth kicked a goal, his first for the Lions. The Lions coach Peter Hodge was pleased and proud of his young team with the way that they have improved over the year.
“I will lose only two or three players from this team next year and it looks good for the Lions next season,” he said.
The club would like to thank their weekly sponsors Antons at Kianga, Michael at Dalmeny and the Narooma Golf Club, also the many supporters that support this young team; the parents that help in the canteen and the people who transport the children to the away games.
All is not lost for the Lions this year with the U16s team to play at Pambula against Merimbula, the time of this game is 12.30pm on Saturday August 30.
A win here would see Narooma go straight into the grand final, the club would like to see all supporters and senior players travel to Pambula to support this team.
The club reminds all U13s, U16s, first grade team players, parents and supporters of presentation night on Friday, September 19 at 6.30 pm at the Narooma Golf Club.
