There were 23 swimmers doing the drift and the temperature was a pleasant 16 degrees.
The swimmers then retired to O’Briens Hotel and the Raw Prawn Bistro for two kinds of soup, seafood chowder and tomato ham.
This Sunday, Father’s Day, is the last day of the winter swimming season for clubs around Australia.
The Narooma Numnut of the Year will be named and the swimmers also usually tuck into a big breakfast and play a game of cards.
Then after a weekend off, it is off to the Winter Swimming Association of Australia national championships this year to be held in Sydney, where the swimmers plan to break all kinds of records and improve on their 12th place in the 10-man relay.
