NAROOMA police assisted Fisheries officers in an operation at Glasshouse Rocks, Narooma at 4.20pm Friday.
Two backpacks containing 102 shucked abalone, mostly undersize, as well as two sets of diving gear were located stashed in thick bushland near the ocean. Investigations continue.
Car stolen
A CAR reported stolen from Wallaga Lake at 11pm Thursday was located the next day in Narooma where a 25-year-old Bermagui man was arrested and charged with stealing the car and negligent driving after he was allegedly seen hitting a stationary car on Umburra Drive as he drove it away.
Warrant arrest
A 34-year-old Narooma man turned himself in at the Narooma police station on Monday after a non-appearance at the local court on Thursday on warrants relating to failing to quit licensed premises, malicious damage, assault and driving offences.
Mid ranger
POLICE conducting mobile random breath testing in the Bermagui area stopped a car at 9.45pm Friday and charged the 29-year-old Bermagui man with mid range drink driving after he recorded a reading of 0.106.
