But as a bit of a challenge we are asking you to photograph yourself working your mojo in preparation of the Narooma Blues Festival.
Post that photo on the Narooma News Facebook page and we, together with festival organiser Neil Mumme, will choose our favourites.
The winners should also be prepared to be a roving social media correspondents for the Narooma News able to post and tweet photos with the hashtag #NaroomaBluesFestival
With just a little over two weeks out from the 2014 festival, the excitement and expectation has moved into top gear at Blues Fest HQ.
All of the advertised artists are preparing themselves for their trip to Narooma...some are coming from as far as 12,000kms away.
Organisers have many surprises, “one off” performances by some pretty unique musicians along with a great mix of international and national guests.
“We here at HQ believe this is the best line up in our long history and one we are thrilled to be presenting.”
Artistic element at Narooma Blues Festival
THE Narooma Blues Festival will have an artistic element when Narooma photographer and graphic artist Tim Burke hosts another show at the Narooma SoArt Gallery.
This will be the second time that Tim has coincided a show of his work with the Great Southern Blues Festival and his show at last year’s homecoming festival.
This year’s show exhibition will again have a mainly music theme including his studio shots with the band The Backsliders, which features Midnight Oil’s Rob Hirst.
One of those studio shots has become the band’s latest album cover.
The Backsliders are back at the festival and he hopes to get Dom Turner from the band to open the show at SoArt at 6pm Friday before they play.
Just to add a bit of diversity to the SoArt exhibition, he plans to have a few local landscape and Aboriginal dancing prints on display.
Tim and partner Fiona are excited to announce they are planning more concerts at the Narooma Kinema after the success of their Robert Johnson tribute gig earlier this year.
