EBONY grew up on the South Coast but later on moved to Queensland and has only recently moved back. Ebony also plays soccer for St Georges Basin and played her grand final last week, hoping to turn the results around for this weekend’s game. She’s a freak at soccer as well as league tag. She is not only the number one fullback in the competition but the number one try scorer and point scorer, not just in the women’s league tag division but in all divisions in South Coast Group 7. Ebony has scored an average two to three tries a game and as goal kicker has only missed a couple of goals all season.
GEORGIA (don’t put your socks in the microwave), having years of experience in oztag was the girl who brought the swip hivel to the team. Georgia has played for several Sydney teams - of late Cronulla at state level for several years. Georgia brings a lot of positive energy to the team.
BORN and breed in Milton, Amy has played for several teams over the years. She has represented South Coast, Southern Suns at state level. She was named a shadow for NSWCHS in 2012. Amy played for the Australian Barbarians earlier this year and was also the Australian champion for bike riding - but her love for tag has taken over.
THE loudest and the “go forward” in the team. Paige has been out due to an ankle injury for the last three to four weeks and has been a massive loss for the girls. But she will be strapping up and ready to play on Sunday. Her talk and drive forward will be a key to help the bulldogs across the line. Paige has represented Southern Suns and the Wollongong Devils for several years and was also an elite netballer.
NOT including the final series, Taryn has scored 19 tries and was named the third top try scorer in the competition. She is speedy and an absolute little gun. It is Taryn’s first year playing tag and she picked it up on game one. Good luck to Taryn who is currently representing NSWCHS for touch football. She also just won two silver medals at state athletics. She is a great netballer and puts her body on the line. A rising star!
TEAM captain Cheyanne is a geat influence, always positive and a hard worker. Typical Hatch – footy head. Cheyanne also represented the Australian Barbarians and Vipers alongside Amy and Kaela this year and has recently been named in the Cronulla Women’s Open team. Cheyanne looks up to her Dad as coach and he is very proud of her effort training and helping coaching the girls. After being tackled twice in last weekend’s final, Cheyanne proves to be tougher than her brother AJ (also a life long player for the club).
AFTER playing for Milton last year Cheryl would not miss out on playing for the Doggies for another season. She has been one of our biggest improvers. Having years experience in running the local Ulladulla Oztag competition, Cheryl has the ‘get tagged, you’ll love it’ attitude.
ANA (AKA not so Paul Gallen) is the polite and quiet girl of the group. Ana has represented NSWCCC for Oztag and was recently picked in the NSW development squad for Rugby 7’s. Ana is a little gun. Another one of the Wollongong imports, Ana is a delight to have in the team.
KAELA is one of the Bulldogs’ main kickers. Her keen and hard work attitude helps the team and she will be a big positive in Sunday’s game. Kaela has travelled to New Zealand to represent Australia for Oztag. Don’t forget your boots this weekend Kaela! She has a lot of experience, which will help the team cross the line.
AFTER playing soccer for Basin, Wreck Bay and Huskisson Jess has always been a big soccer fan but decided to give league tag a go. Jess’ brother Jimmy Little (MUB reserve grade captain) has been an influence and helped Jess along the way. Jess has continued to shine and voted players’ player for majority of the games this season. If she gets away they wont catch her and she is also the goal kicker along with Ebony.
EMMAH decided she wanted to join the team to meet some new people, and as well as all the other girls, they have all became great friends. Emma has played soccer alongside Jess and last week played striker to win her grand final for Sussex 7-1. She has improved every game.
LIL Thomas plays alongside Kaela and has looked up to, not only her, but also her Australian representative father Ross Thomas. Ross has helped teach the girls from a young age. Georgia has also played for the Australian team and has so much potential. Unluckily Georgia broke her collarbone in the first game and has been out for half the season. But is back and better than ever.
LACEY doesn’t miss a tag! It is Lacey’s second year representing the Bulldogs. She is a quiet achiever in the team. Lacey has played in the Milton Ulladulla comp for both Oztag and touch football for many years and also had a run with the girls rugby union side.
THE youngest in the team, Kiarna has faced a knee injury for majority of the season but her love for the game has not stopped her from turning up each week to play. Kiarna has improved immensely throughout the season.
KATE scores 100 metre tries and has all season - no one has gotten close to catching Kate! Fitness and training is a passion of Kate’s and it shows when she plays. She is a dedicated and striving player.
RENEE is the mum of the team as she is so inspiring and encouraging to every single one of the girls. Another vital kicker of the team, Renee will be pumped and ready to go on Sunday. Years of experience running and organising the Ulladulla competition. Renee is the team’s motivator on and off the field and will continue to do so during Sunday’s game.
JAYLEE is always smiling on the field. She is full of laughs and always the girl to cheer the girls up whenever their heads were down. Jaylee is a fantastic netballer as well. Jaylee, who plays alongside her sister Taryn, both follow in their father’s footsteps, the under 18’s coach Orbit, and are hoping to win a premiership like Orbit has.
David has played 185 games with the Cronulla Sharks, was twice the Dally M captain of the year and even played for Milton a few years back.
THE two water boys Nigel and Todd don’t have children in the team but carry that water like it’s gold and they help the girls during the game with positive support.
Glen Laws has also been a great help by strapping the girls.
