Gary Traynor is a qualified self-defence instructor with over 30 years’ experience in Martial Arts. He also has substantial experience in Law Enforcement, having spent over two decades as a front line Police Officer in the New South Wales Police Force.
Garry will be assisted in his presentation with Batemans Bay weapons instructor Senior Constable Donna Clarke who is also performing the role of the Youth Liaison Officer for the Far South Coast Local Area Command. Senior Constable Jo Flood who has in excess of 25 years will also be part of the presentation. Senior Constable Jo Flood's current duties are as the Far South Coast Domestic Violence Liaison Officer, with both officers having worked with Gary Traynor previously.
The dates for the three classes are Wednesday, October 1 at Narooma Sport and Leisure Centre; Wednesday, October 8 at the Moruya Showground and Wednesday, October 15 at the Batemans Bay Community Centre. Each of the classes will run from 7pm - 9pm. The classes are free of any charge so this is a great opportunity for all women to come along for a basic introduction to self-defence and street safety awareness.
